Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

 

  • Day: 1 Arrival In Delhi

    On arrival at Delhi International Airport our representatives will transfer you to the hotel, followed by a conventional Indian welcome. You can relax for the rest of the day in the hotel.
     
  • Day: 2 Explore Delhi

    After breakfast proceed for a guided city sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi which includes Red Fort, Jama Masjid (India’s largest Mosque), Raj Ghat (Cremation place of Mahatma Gandhi), Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. You can even enjoy a rickshaw ride through the over-crowded Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid. After visiting all these historical places you will be taken to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Diplomatic Area and Parliament House.
     
  • Day: 3 Delhi / Agra ( 200 kms - 05 Hrs )

    After morning breakfast you will be driven to Agra, the land of one of the Seven Wonders of the World ­ the splendid "Taj Mahal”. On the way to Agra we make short halt at Sikandara Fort, also known as the Mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar. After reaching Agra, we will check into the hotel. You are completely free for the rest of the day. Take a good sleep at night in the hotel.
     
  • Day: 4 City Tour Of Agra And Travel To Varanasi (Overnight Journey By Train)

    Start your Agra city tour with the splendid "Taj Mahal”. The beautiful monument was built by Mughal King Shah Jahan in remembrance of his wife Mumtaz Begum. In order to give you the royal feeling, a Horse cart will take you up to Taj Mahal. You will be taken to visit Agra Fort to explore the beauty of Moti Mahal, Diwan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam. Rest of the time you can roam around in the local market which is famous for carpets and marble works. In the evening you will be taken to Agra Railway Station to catch the train for Varanasi, overnight journey on board.
     
  • Day: 5 Varanasi City Tour And Sarnath Trip

    Upon arrival at Varanasi station early in the morning, our representatives will pick you up and take you to the hotel. Your Varanasi City tour will start after breakfast. You will be taken to visit Kashi Vishwanath temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Tulsi Temple, Benaras Hindu University, Bathing and cremation Ghats. In the noon we will go to the sacred place of Lord Buddha-Sarnath to visit the famous Sarnath Temple, Thai Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Chaukhandi Stupa and Deer Park. After the excursion trip, you will be transferred to hotel for overnight stay.
     
  • Day: 6 Varanasi To Bodhgaya

    You will be taken for a boat ride in the river Ganges to enjoy the sunrise and some Hindu rituals. After breakfast in hotel we will start for Bodhgaya, the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site. On arrival at Bodhgaya you will be taken to your hotel. You are completely free for the rest of day.
     
  • Day: 7 Explore Bodhgaya

    After breakfast at hotel you will be driven to visit Animeshlochana Chaitya, Mahabodhi temple and tree, Ratnaghar Chaitya, Ratnachankrama, Dungeswari cave, Muchhalinda Pond, Sujata Village and Tibetan Monastry. In the evening you can walk around the Buddhist city to know it better. Overnight stay at hotel.
     
  • Day: 8 Bodhgaya To Patna Via Nalanda And Rajgir

    Start your journey towards Patna just after having breakfast. Drive to Patna en-route visiting Nalanda, where you can see the ruins of ancient Nalanda University and Rajgir, one of the most important pilgrimages for the Buddhists. You will be carried by a cable car to Japanese temple, Vulture’s peak and Japanese Peace Pagoda. After visiting Rajgir and Nalanda, you will finally reach Patna. Check into your hotel and take some rest. Then we will go for a short tour of Patna city to see Gol Ghar and Kumrahar. Come back to hotel at night and rest.
     
  • Day: 9 Patna To Kushinagar Via Vaishali

    After breakfast, e will start our journey for Kushinagar, a pious place of Lord Buddha. On the way to Kushinagar, we will take a halt at Vaishali to visit Kutagarshala Vihara, Abhishek Pushkarini Railic Stupa site. Upon arrival at Kushinagar, check in to the l. In the evening we will start Kushi Nagar city tour with Mahaprinirvana temple, Martah Kuwar, Burmese Chandramani Bhikshu Dharmasala, Ramagrama Stupa, Chinese temple, SriLanka-Japan monstry. Come back to the hotel to spend the night.
     
  • Day: 10 Kushinagar To Lumbini Via Sravasti

    After breakfast leave for Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, en-route visiting Sudatta Caves, Jetavana, Pakki Kuti, Saheth-Maheth and ruins of Anandakuti and Gandhakuti in Sravasti. After reaching Lumbini, check-into your hotel. We have no plans in the evening. So you can do whatever you want to do in that free time.
     
  • Day: 11 Lumbini Tour

    After early breakfast you will be driven to visit Lumbini garden, Mayadevi Temple, Rummendei Pillar, Dharmaswami Maharaja Buddha Vihara, Lumbini Dharmodaya Samiti Dharmsala and few monasteries. Then we will proceed for Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, en-route visiting Kapilavastu to see the ruins of two palaces of Lord Buddha and Railik Stupa. After arriving in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel. You are free for the evening.
     
  • Day: 12 Kathmandu City Tour

    After breakfast go for a morning sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath temple, Kathmandu city and Darbar square. After sightseeing you have enough time to do some shopping if you wish. Come back to hotel and sleep tight.
     
  • Day: 13 Kathmandu City Tour

    You have a full day free at leisure. Walk around the city or do some shopping to utilize your free time.
     
  • Day: 14 Bye Bye Kathmandu

    You will be driven to the Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport to board flight. Hope you will leave Kathmandu with the splendid memories of Buddha Footsteps Pilgrimage Tour in your soul.
